6 Group and HS2 will be hosting a lunchtime event on Wednesday 14th June at the HS2 Head Office in Birmingham to provide insight into their fresh approach to diversity & inclusion. Join us and a panel of speakers as we discuss the changes influencing our approach to D&I and the innovative methods that are being applied to recruitment models.

Mark Lomas, Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at HS2 will be leading the charge and discussing how EDI is part of everything at HS2. It supports their workforce and the work with communities, applies to their supply chain, and is integral to the design and operation of their stations and rolling stock. Mark has over 10 years’ experience at successfully implementing D&I strategies and programmes across large organisations including, the Shaw Trust, The Law Society, The BBC & now HS2.

Huma Qazi, Director, HR & Culture Change will also be joining us on the day. Huma is an international HR & culture consultant, with over 20 years’ corporate experience in Supply Chain and HR working with energy companies such as Eni and BP in senior HR leadership roles. Her passion is to “humanise businesses” and she consults on: people strategy solutions, HR data analytics, diversity & inclusion programmes, culture, change and transformation. Huma partners with a number of diversity consulting firms to lead on designing and delivering events and programmes on Women Development, Employee Network Leadership, Unconscious Bias and Diversity Analytics both for UK based and global clients.

Our third panelist will be Vinay Kapoor, UK Head of Diversity & Inclusion and EMEA CIB Diversity Council at BNP Paribas. Vinay is responsible for the leadership, development and implementation of the D&I agenda in the UK for BNP Paribas. This also includes developing strategies to support regulatory and legal compliance, competitive positioning and working with external partners. Vinay has also been named in The Guardian Global LGBT Power List, The London Pride Power list, The Telegraph Top 50 LGBT Leaders and The Economist’s 2015 ‘Top 50 Global Diversity Professionals’ List.

The event will take place on Wednesday 14th June 11.30am – 2.30pm at the HS2 Head Office, 6th Floor, 2 Snowhill, Birmingham B4 6GA.
