The Role | Sales & Bid Manager

The Sales & Bid Manager is responsible for the smooth management of the entire bid process, which includes managing existing clients and accounts and developing new business.

The Sales & Bid manager follows the initial evaluation of an opportunity to compete for a contract through the production of a bid. The Sales & Bid Manager must coordinate all parties involved in the bid process, working technically to ensure internal stakeholders are aware of the level of contribution expected of them and how to meet their deadlines.

The Sales & Bid Manager will be responsible for managing new and existing client relationships in order to increase revenue and work strategically on the sales process to rationalise the bid.

The Sales & Bid manager will ensure all timelines are met and that the bid submitted is complete and accurate, whilst also best reflecting LOGSTOR Oil and Gas’ niche services and abilities. They are responsible for the quality of all aspects of the bid, including written documentation and presentations, to ensure the visual standard of all documentation and presentation material is first class and eye-catching.

Main tasks

  • Promote LOGSTOR's end-to-end solutions to new and existing clients
  • Along with the technical experts, continue and maintain existing client relationships through face to face meetings to create more proactive sales and ensure adequate training levels
  • Review of information about demands and derivation of supply and proposal preparations
    Clarification of bid conditions and management of the tender preparation.
  • Managing the bid portfolio to ensure opportunities are maximised
  • Monitoring of the bid management in order to ensure it is aligned with the organisation's requirements
  • Set up the best-optimised cost of services and products manufactured by LOGSTOR
  • Coordination of tender reviews and deadlines and adjust them to the frameworks given by the customers

Your qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience – practical experience in a similar position advantageous
  • Strong in the MS-Office package including MS-Project, Visio and MS Office (strong Excel skills including simulation and modelling)
  • Strong in English skills – oral and in writing – being able to converse and liaise with all bid contributors
  • Experience working in the Oil and Gas sector, preferably in the North Sea or the Middle East

  • Strong time-management and organisational skills
  • Ability to coordinate several tasks at the same time
  • Can demonstrate effective bid writing skills (even if they will not be writing the actual bid documentation)
  • Analytical (but also hand-on) approach to tasks
  • Structured working methods; able to obtain a high level of work from the support services to ensure all deadlines are met efficiently and that the bid is of the highest quality possible
  • Good administrative abilities with good overview of much and complex data
  • Able to work independently and highly motivated, with strong degree of integrity
  • Aware of industry changes and able to be flexible depending on market demands
  • Able to communicate effectively with both internal technical colleagues and external stakeholders
